First, a fulfillment update. All paperbacks and hardcovers have been shipped except for a handful of backers whose addresses I don’t have. I’ve emailed everyone whose address I’m missing. If you haven’t received books you’re expecting, please check your junk mail or spam folder, and let me know.
The jury illustrations have shipped. The leather book bindery will be starting in September, as will the audio book production. I’ll keep everyone in the loop on progress.
With shipping nearly complete, the Aetherczarina took a look at where The Wise of Heart backers live. Not quite every state, but we turned a respectable part of the country green!
Reviews!
Reviews are rolling in for The Wise of Heart. Metz expected a strawman polemic. He was pleasantly surprised.
Jack Gardner commented the story was well-thought-out, and interesting, particularly the media pundits.
Benjamin Espen offered a lengthy and thoughtful review, which he kindly summarized on Amazon:
Jim Healy thought the story “goes to the heart of the transgender debate in America today.”
And KC appreciate the depth of the characters and their backstories in this “fun and sometimes infuriating read.”
The Wise of Heart’s chronicle of cancellation added a new chapter yesterday. Fellow blogger and Substack writer, Linda Fox, had her review cancelled by Amazon yesterday. Why? Because in some undefined way it “violated community standards.” Linda was kind enough to share the story on her Substack. A few hours later, the revised review did actually post.
All I can say is, “the ride never ends.”
If you’ve read The Wise of Heart, please leave a review with your thoughts on Amazon. Maybe you too will earn the honor of being cancelled by Amazon!
May the ride never end till we reach Heaven
Hanz I am both honored and humbled to be a part of the wise at heart. To be a part of bringing this story to America and the people of the world.
May God Bless
Jim Healy
